The Real Price of Anti-Aging
facial chemicals and procedures
by Sonja Berkshire

Skin cells can divide only so many times – roughly fifty – before running out of steam and dying. This is because each time a skin cell replicates, it shortens the telomeres at the end of each chromosome until finally cell replication slows and we end up with crepe paper skin. Acids, peels, laser resurfacing and dermabrasion may give us baby-soft skin today, but along with irritation and sun sensitivity, they speed up the destruction of telomeres. Ten or twenty years down the road we may witness horror when we look in the mirror because these processes have accelerated the aging process. With so many consumers provided so many opportunities to damage their skin in a rush to look younger, this could turn into the largest class action lawsuit we’ve ever had in this country.

With the proper nutrients for healthy skin and a little patience, we can be happy with our skin for the rest of our lives.

Nutrition for beautiful skin
The direction today for optimal skin health is toward the benefits of sound nutrition. The supplements suggested by proponents of this persuasion are good, but have failed to include nature’s most powerful substances that can reverse the signs of skin aging:

  • Colostrum is skin’s perfect food. The largest skin surface of our body is our intestinal wall (two double tennis courts in length). Colostrum’s immune and healing components make the internal skin healthy and perfect, providing an impermeable protective barrier against toxins and pathogens. If colostrum’s components can make our internal skin perfect, imagine what it can do for our external skin.
  • Lipid delivery system.  If your colostrum isn't protected during its passage through the digestive tract, chances are the nutrients you need to keep your skin healthy will never get to you.  Make sure your colostrum is protected by a lipid delivery system.
  • Lactoferrin is possibly nature’s most powerful anti-oxidant to counter free radicals. Currently, the most plausible theory of aging predicts that the life span of our body’s cells (including our skin cells) can be increased by slowing the rate of random free radical reactions.

Keep your skin healthy with proper, healthy nutrition!
